    Director of Policy - Birmingham, United Kingdom - Intercity Technology Limited

    Description
    Fixed term contract c: 14 months
    Birmingham (2 days office, 3 days WFH)
    Youll optimise and enhance critical people functions, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management. Youll oversee recruitment activities, performance management, coaching, and development. Youll provide employment advice to management and leadership teams, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and risk management. Your insights will help drive informed decisions.
    Talent Development and Succession Planning : Facilitating leadership succession planning, performance reviews, skills assessments, and development plans will be a key aspect of your role

    Youll actively build, maintain, and reinforce our company culture by promoting our core values, organising activities, and fostering effective communication.


    Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy :
    Leading diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, youll champion an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected

    Data-Driven Insights :
    Youll interpret people analytics to drive policy changes and continuous improvement, ensuring our practices align with best practices.
    During periods of change, youll support the implementation of performance and development systems, effective communication, and monitoring.

    Budget Management :
    Developing and managing annual people budgets (including recruitment, training, and engagement) will be part of your responsibilities.

    Youll support business acquisitions and TUPE transfers, enhancing our brand through partnerships with Investors in People, Best Companies, and EcoVadis.

    Overseeing payroll, pay modeling, and the pay review process, youll ensure fairness and transparency.

    ESG Strategy Delivery :
    Responsible for the delivery of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, including community activities and environmental considerations.

    Policy Compliance :
    Ensuring adherence to all people and ESG policies, youll support ISO audits.

    Positive Representation :

    As an ambassador for Intercity, youll promote a positive image at local and national levels, participating in conferences, seminars, and working groups.


    Ad Hoc Projects :
    Youll engage in various projects as needed to drive organisational excellence.
