- Leadership of the Commercial and Procurement Departments
- Build, develop & maintain a network of strong relationships with key stakeholders including subcontractors & clients.
- Ensure adequate review of conditions of contract at bid stage
- Ensure the commercial aspects of all contracts are managed effectively
- Ensure that accurate records are kept and retained, including to support claims.
- Ensure that each subcontractor's and supplier's account is managed in accordance with their terms & conditions.
- Ensure that payments are effected in accordance with head contract, subcontracts & relevant legislation.
- Ensure accurate financial and contractual performance forecasts are in place by the required deadlines
- Monitor cash flow, valuation plan & projected costs to completion in line with budget
- Manage team performance
- Finance Management – CVRs, financial reporting & processes
- A thorough understanding of Contract awareness – NEC3,4, ECC & JCT
- Understanding of the certified management systems ISO (Apply online only), ISO (Apply online only) & ISO 45001, - 2018
- Have deep experience within Civil Engineering Construction, ideally within the marine and/or water sector
- Managing & leading a Commercial team
- IT Microsoft Office skills, Evision, Business Collaborator, CEMAR
- Understanding of company computer-based cost recording systems
- NEC3,4, ECC & JCT full contract awareness
