- Assist in delivering the annual programme of cultural and participatory public engagement activities. Ensure the programme is inclusive, supports diversity, and aligns with broader organizational priorities.
- Work with the Participation Programmes Manager to deliver flagship participatory projects and events, engaging with internal teams and external partners to ensure success.
- Coordinate with the Historic England Grants Team to sift applications and monitor grant-funded projects, providing project assurance as needed.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, such as Portfolio, Marketing, Content, and Communications, ensuring alignment with participation programmes.
- Provide administrative support for finance processes, including overseeing payment of suppliers and coordinating with grant recipients.
- Create guidance and documentation for grants programmes, ensuring smooth information flow among stakeholders.
- Advocate for successful participatory projects and help build organizational capacity for long-term sustainable participation programmes.
- Develop briefs for externally funded participation projects and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with procurement and grants policies.
- Sometimes represent Historic England's work on participatory projects to external audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with experience supporting teams to deliver projects.
- Experience commissioning artists and creatives to deliver community-led participatory programmes.
- Experience managing cultural and participatory programmes, ideally with a focus on inclusion and diversity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in managing finance processes and supporting grant programmes.
