    Job Title: Head of Sales and Events

    Based at 229 Shoreditch high street London

    Reports to: Ria Thomas - Managing Director

    Hours Full time 37 hour per week

    Contract - Freelance fixed term contract for 12 months with potential extension

    Ideal start date - May 2024

    YOUR ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Head of sales & Events - Event Agency

    Hybrid working, bonus, commission, overtime

    Salary: Up to £45,000 DEO + bonus

    Freelance fixed term contract for 12 months - with potential for extension

    THE HEAD OF SALES & EVENTS ROLE

    The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented with a drive to achieve goals and maintain a great customer experience and have good London event and venue knowledge.

    You will be able to suggest forward-thinking ideas to promote our brand and work closely with clients to understand their needs. This individual will have excellent communication abilities and negotiation skills. The role involves working within the event agency's Events team reporting to the Director. You will be working within our events team, from the client's initial inquiry and sourcing the venue, attending site visits to running the event on the day. We take ownership of every client from enquiry to running the event on the day. You will play a crucial role in the event process and be the main point of contact for the client.

    ARE YOU THE NEXT HEAD OF EVENTS?

    Ideally three years experience within a similar field.

    Not be afraid to pick up the phone with clients and suppliers.

    Enjoy face-to-face and telephone interaction with suppliers and clients.

    Ability to negotiate with suppliers.

    A positive attitude with a desire to manage a small team.

    London venue knowledge and a little black book will go a long way in this role.

    • London venue knowledge desirable but not essential for this role


    •Experience of working in a fast paced event agency or similar is preferred

    Overall responsibilities include but not limited to:

    Dealing with incoming event enquiries

    Managing a team

    Reporting on sales and events figures

    Putting together event costs and creative proposals

    Checking venue availability and rates and getting the lowest rates for clients

    Attending client site visits across London

    Creation of event packs and agendas

    Looking to increase company revenue by negotiating better rates with suppliers

    Creation of event function sheets

    Meetings with clients at the event venues or in there offices to go over the finer details of the event

    Account management - Building relationships with the client throughout the planning process and ensuring timely response times

    Coordinate with 3rd party suppliers such as entertainment, Av and production suppliers

    Coordinate with entertainment for events

    Event management on the day of the events

    Post event - Follow-up email

    After event debriefs and problem solving with clients

    On-site point of contact for the event
