    Job Description

    ASK4 COURIERS is looking for a Business Development Manager who specializes in the Transport and Logistics Industry in their friendly team.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop prospects and leads, be the initial point of contact, and build the relationship/pipeline.

    Ensure existing accounts are well managed and where possible grown.

    To win new business and work to agreed targets in line with the company growth strategy.

    To strengthen market position by locating, developing, defining, promoting, negotiating, and securing new business by closing the sale.

    Develop and maintain ASK4 COURIERS Logistics services to existing and potential clients ensuring a profitable return for the company.

    Build/develop relationships with clients.

    Understand the needs of your clients and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet/exceed client's expectations.

    Have an excellent understanding of the businesses' services and be able to advise others about them.

    Knowledge of pricing and an understanding of the road haulage environment

    Develop and formulate the sales strategy and achieve the revenue and profit goals set by the business.

    Work closely with the operations team to ensure customer needs and expectations are met.

    Produce and report on core activities, including sales calls, execution of calls, success, post-contact analysis, and reports.

    Assist and liaise with the board on larger project/contract work as and when required.

    Prior experience of working in road freight logistics is ideal.

    Ideal Candidate:

    3+ year of commercial sales experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, or supply chain is desirable.

    Strong business development skills alongside relationship-building skills.

    Prior connections in the industry so you can come in and 'hit the ground running'.

    Self-starter, able to think quickly, plan, and act independently.

    Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.

    Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills

    Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce) preferable

    Proficiency in Microsoft suite products, namely Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Decision-making skills

    A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

    Hours & Salary:

    Monday to Friday

    Salary is negotiable and competitive.

    Performance-based bonus

    Fuel expenses.
