    Description

    ORB Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to work with our client who is a leading provider of industrial equipment. They have been dedicated to providing an extensive range of high-quality products to cater to diverse industry needs - from bearings to electrical supplies, janitorial essentials, signage, tools, workwear, and PPE. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced and driven Internal Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team.

    Position Overview: As the Internal Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth within the sales division. Working closely with the internal & field sales teams and other key stakeholders, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and contributing to the overall sales strategy.

    Unlike traditional order takers, you will focus on building strategic contracts and long-term partnerships with clients. Your role will involve proactive engagement with customers, negotiating terms, and creating customised solutions to meet their specific needs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.
    • Lead Generation: Generate and qualify leads to build a robust sales pipeline, utilising CRM tools and other resources effectively.
    • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively while working closely with the external team.
    • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential areas for business growth.
    • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue targets.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and product management, to support integrated sales and marketing initiatives.
    • Performance Analysis: Track and analyse sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within industry.
    • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
    • Results-driven and self-motivated, with a passion for exceeding targets and driving business growth.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events (if required).

    Salary:

    • £30,000 P.A - Plus performance-based incentives.
