    Lead Engineer / Technical Lead - AI

    £120-140k + monthly bonus

    Scale-up SaaS AI Machine Learning organisation in London is looking for a Technical Lead Engineer to support the next phase of growth.

    Hybrid working, you will be commutable to central London.

    As a Tech Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading a core tech team. You will lead the re-platforming of the core data and AI platform powering their SaaS product. This is a Full Stack role, you'll spearhead backend and data engineering and mentor team members.

    Tech stack: Athena; Python, Flask, Redis, Postgres, React, Plotly, Docker, SQL, Athena & EMR Spark, ECS and Temporal.

    This is a 60/40 split between tech and leadership.

    Your background:

    • 8 years+ coding experience, 4+ years Python experience.
    • 2+ years managing a tech team.
    • Worked on data-intensive products which are heavy on either volume or scale.
    • Worked on cloud infrastructure (AWS being the preference not essential)
    • Start-up experience is preferred but not essential.

    The extras:

    • Experience working on AI-based products.
    • Distributed computing experience (Spark, MPI, etc)
    • Experience orchestrating workflows, particularly within distributed system environments.
    • Knowledge of MLOps principles and practices, especially in implementing them within production settings.
