    Description

    Can you lead a team who are you passionate about supporting residents with mental health and/ or physical disabilities into work? Are you looking for a fresh new challenge within a dynamic team?

    The Team

    The Supported Employment Team are based within the Employment & Skills team, assisting local people to access employment via placements and traineeships hosted at external organisations or temporary appointments within the Council. We work with clients who may need additional and targeted support such as care leavers, people with learning disabilities, women returning to the labour market, people aged 50plus and any other group who is furthest labour.

    This role is 12-month FTC with the potential to extend for up to another 6-months. We are looking for someone with team leader skills and IPS Grow experience who is creative and energetic, who can lead on the fantastic work that this team needs to achieve.

    You will have:

  • Working knowledge of the IPS Grow model
  • An energetic and creative approach to supporting candidates into employment and working with employers
  • Confident communication skills with an ability to engage multiple stakeholders at a time
  • Experience in leading a team to achieve targets against deadlines
  • A proactive approach to making a real difference to the lives of our residents
  • A creative approach to connecting with local businesses
  • Attention to detail to data management and maintaining client records
  • Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure when dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes with competing priorities
