    Job Title: Careers Operations Manager

    Salary: £36,000 Plus £3600 car allowance and valuable Benefits

    Location: Home-based with travel to schools within agreed regions located around Great Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire

    Vacancy Type: Maternity Cover, Fixed term, Full time for 12 months starting from 1st June 2024

    We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our passionate team and drive efficiency, productivity, and growth.

The aim is to provide the tools required to make informed choices about next progression moves, whilst supporting schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) to meet their statutory requirements in relation to the Gatsby benchmarks.

    Main Purpose:

    To operationally drive and oversee the qualitative and financial performance of all contracts with the region. Managing relationships with individual school leaders and line-managing the Careers Advisers working within those schools. Focus will be on leadership, quality assurance, managing service provision and delivering against the company objectives.

    Person Specification:

    A natural leader who can develop strong working partnerships both internally and externally. Experience in managing a team ideally within an educational / similar environment would be advantageous. Knowledge of CEIAG is crucial and the ability to work to tight deadlines across multiple projects is essential. Excellent written and presentation skills are required and the ability to be highly organised is necessary. The ideal candidate will be collaborative in nature with a supportive and developmental approach.

    Qualifications: Ideally holds an IAG qualification (L4-L7).

    Experience: Experience of working for a careers guidance company would be advantageous. Educational experience is also beneficial.

    The ideal Operations Manager will:

    • Have excellent communications skills, be tenacious and highly motivated

    • Be confident, have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate well with people
    • Have strong customer service skills, customer focused and with an ability to build strong relationships and understand customer needs
    • Be self-motivated and able to work alone
    • Be able to line manage a remote team
    • Be able to work at pace
    • Have a learning mindset
    • Ambitious to grow and develop the role within our company
    • Hold a current, valid driving licence
    • Hold a clear DBS Enhanced certificate (or be confident of completing the checks upon appointment)
