    Description

    As the Business Development Manager, you will be in a customer facing role to develop and promote the growth of our sea logistics business.

    Business Development Managers - are part of our Customer Care Location Teams reporting to the Customer Care Manager with a clear focus on new business in the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) segment.

    Business Development Specialists have a thorough, up to date and in-depth understanding of the trade-lane(s) in terms of the geography of the trade (e.g.

    France to Saudi Arabia, China to Mexico, UK to the USA and so on), and the service offerings such as sailings, transit times, reliability, specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, as well as the type of industry/goods/commodity traded on the particular routes.

    The Sea Logistics Sales spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for a new business, and they work hand in hand with the Customer Care teammates.

    To generate new business opportunities
    To demonstrate superior Sea Logistics product and trade knowledge
    To deliver presentations about our main Sea Logistics products
    To report customer complaints to the Customer Care team
    To perform the related CRM tasks/activities
    #Proven business to business, face to face sales experience
    Effective and proactive time management/ forward planning
    Advanced experience as EDI and software user (e.g.
    MS Office, CRM System)
    Experience of working within a targeted new business environment
