    Job Summary 'Seeing In Colour', a project supported by Innovate UK, are looking for an experienced, freelance Curation Lead with an interest in scripted content, and themes around consent and healthy relationships.


    Project Overview:

    Emmeline Hartley (Filmmaker) and Rebecca Jennings (Sex Education Consultant at Raise Education) are leading a project called 'Seei ng In Colour' sup ported by Innovate UK, with the aim of creating high-quality educational resources for schools and colleges centred around engaging scripted film & TV content.

    They are hoping to identify nuanced storylines featuring high-end writing and performances with inclusive on-screen representation that explore the project's priorit

    Type:
    Freelance Contract for approx. 2-3 month project

    Mostly remote working, but occasional in-person collaboration days to take place in Birmingham or London as and when agreed.

    As the Curation Lead for this project, you will be responsible for leading this curation process and identifying at least 15 clips that align with our themes and criteria, which we can share more information about once you have submitted an EOI.

    Ideally, you will already be familiar with a lot of drama content on BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and you will have a keen interest in the themes we are exploring (re:
    consent and healthy relationships).

    Experience in content curation or programming, preferably relevant to scripted film/TV
    A university degree or at least 2 years work experience relevant to at least one of the following fields: Programming/Curation, TV/Film, Secondary Education (ideally with knowledge around PSHE/RSHE), or relevant psychology/sociology field
    Strong familiarity with scripted content on BBC, ITV, and Channel 4
    Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and educational innovation

    Curate clips from scripted content on BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 that align with our educational approach
    Collaborate with us on identifying how the selected clips are best contextualised in line with our approach (which we will make clear throughout the project)
    Where possible, monitor content performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimise the curation process
