Their clientele encompasses international utility companies, independent power producers, and UK/Irish developers/operators. The current team, comprising Project Managers, Engineers, Scientists, and Land Agents, is actively engaged in managing multiple portfolios of onshore wind, solar, and storage projects across Europe.

In response to their ongoing expansion, they're establishing a UK division and seek a Development / Land Acquisition Specialist to spearhead new projects in the West Country and Wales.

    What You'll Do:

    • Engage with clients, government, and industry stakeholder lead initiatives that will establish or maintain quality objectives.
    • Conduct own technical work and reviews the work of others, internal and external.
    • Establish and monitor the commercial case for each individual project up to ready-to-build stage including civil cost, technology cost, land costs, EPC and other commercial factors.
    • Provide input to business growth approaches in Ireland, UK, and Europe.

    • Assessing the financial feasibility of potential development prospects.
    • Experience of procurement and contract negotiations, particularly for professional service in support of Environmental Impact Assessment and planning application for infrastructure projects.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project Management applications.
    • Demonstrable ability to influence stakeholders and lead others through long term projects.
    • Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes of work.
    • Detailed knowledge of Planning and Development systems in Ireland and UK.
    • Experience dealing with local, national authorities and statutory stakeholders.
    • Experience in developing high quality Development Plans and Business Cases for complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

    Additional Information:

Initially, the role will be entirely remote until the establishment of the new divisional office. Regular travel to sites throughout the West Country and Wales will be expected.

This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals currently employed by utility providers or developers who seek to transition away from the bureaucracy and red tape often associated with larger corporations. You'll enjoy complete autonomy to make decisions, with turnaround times measured in days rather than weeks.
