    Developing business in fire & security engineering for a highly reputable security installation & service contractor, part of a well-resourced group company.

    They are a fantastic firm to work for, look after their staff well and have established and stable contracts in the southern region & UK wide.

    They will make a great employer for a BDM near Stevenage South East who is looking for a progressive career opportunity.

    The Business Development Manager, where you will research, seek out and sign-up new customers


    More specifically:
    Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs

    Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media

    Set up meetings with potential clients

    Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products/ services

    Develop and maintain customer relationships in order to maximise sales potential

    Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data and report back in the regular periodic sales meetings

    Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

    Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections

    Collaborate with team to achieve better results

    Work with other business stakeholders

    Support and develop relationships with existing and new customers
    You will have

    To be successful as Business Development Manager, you will have experience selling Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control Systems.


    Plus a healthy mix of the following:
    Commercial awareness

    Good communication skills

    Good time management & time keeping

    Good organisational skills

    Tenacious and hard Working

    Friendly and team player

    Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

    You will have a thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements for the industry

    As a Business Development Manager, you will enjoy a competitive salary of up to £45K +OT Bonus + Package.
