    Wokingham Borough Council have an excellent opportunity available for an Assurance Lead to join their friendly team in Adult Services.

    The Role

    As the Assurance Lead you will be the driving force behind assurance and inspection activities, ensuring Adult Social Care are adequately prepared to respond to both statutory and non-statutory requirements.

    You will also lead on developing best practice arrangements and manage all activities in relation to Care Quality Commission inspections of the Local Authority.

    You will play a key role in developing and coordinating a robust and thorough process for self-assessment, supporting the Adult Social Care teams in evidencing their successes and identifying areas they need need to develop further.


    Main responsibilities include:
    To lead the process of preparing the Council for the introduction of a new assurance and inspection regime across Adult Social Care functions
    To be the driving force behind assurance and inspection activities
    To lead on developing and coordinating a robust and thorough process for self-assessment


    Candidate requirements:
    Have a good knowledge of Adult Social Care
    Excellent communication skills
    Proactive
    Highly organised
    Good IT skills
