    SENIORMECHANICAL SUPPORTENGINEER

    OurClient based in Croydon are looking to hire a Senior MechanicalSupport Engineer on a permanent basis. They are a leadingmanufacturing company for a number of industries includingTransport andAutomotive.

    SeniorMechanical Support EngineerPackage:

    Upto 50k (dependant on experience)

    36.5 workingweek

    Permanent fulltimerole

    Annual bonus(pro rata on year ofjoining)

    Life Assurance(after probationperiod)

    Private healthcare

    Cycle to workscheme

    Inthe Senior Mechanical Support Engineer role you will be primarilyresponsible to provide an additional input to the engineering teamwith regards to technical knowledge experience and assurance.Including:

    Support thebusiness from a handson engineering perspective to include:

    oBoM signoff

    oconditionassessments

    oengineeringchanges

    opreparation forFAIs

    ofaultinvestigation anddiagnosis

    owarranty claiminvestigation

    ocreating methodstatements

    oreportcompilation andreviewing

    odesigntooling

    Manage warrantyinvestigations as required including conducting the investigationinteracting with customers and suppliers writing the investigationreport drawing conclusions on the failure making recommendationsfor followup actions and ensuring actions are implemented/ carriedout.

    Producetechnical reports in accordance with company/clientrequirements.

    Createengineering change and concession / Production Permit requests asrequired. Manage the document and issue to conclusion asrequired.

    Provideengineering expertise for the company in the analysis and signingof concessions and engineeringchanges.

    Produce Methodstatements and Test procedures asrequired.

    SeniorMechanical Support Engineering Experience /Qualifications

    Experiencedengineer with (as a minimum) a HNC/HND qualification (orequivalent) in a mechanically biased engineeringdiscipline.

    Aminimum of 10 years professional engineeringexperience

    Knowledge ofvarious industries ranging from Mobility (Rail and Marine) to thePower Oil and Gas sectors isadvantageous

    Knowledge ofmechanical driveline and connecting products and systems (gearboxescardan shafts highly flexible couplings rail couplers cooler groupsetc) is advantageous but notessential

    Knowledge/ useof CAD packages such as Siemens NX and Autodesk Inventor isadvantageous.

    Knowledge oftechnical drawings (including BS8888 symbology / standards) designprinciples and ability to review design proposals isadvantageous.
