    SupportEngineer

    Ourclient is looking for an experienced Support Engineer on apermanent basis. This is an officebased role inCroydon.

    TheClient is a specialist for intelligent drive technology systems aswell as tailormade services. Our client s customers come fromhighly diverse industries such as oil and gas energy mining andmechanical engineering ship technology rail and commercial vehiclesrely on the advanced technologies and digital applications of ourClient.

    SupportEngineerOffer

    • 35000k 40000k (dependant onexperience).
    • 36.5Workingweek.

    SupportEngineerResponsibilities

    Support thebusiness from a handson engineering perspective to include:

    oBoM checks andsignoff

    oconditionassessments

    ojob packcreation

    oengineeringchanges

    opreparation foroverhaulprojects

    opreparation forFAIs

    ofaultinvestigation and diagnosis warranty claiminvestigation

    ocreating methodstatements creating component overhaulinstructions

    otest proceduresconduct material analysis andcomparisons

    oreportcompilation andreviewing

    odesigntooling

    • Managewarranty investigations as required including conducting theinvestigation interacting with customers and suppliers writing theinvestigation report drawing conclusions on the failure makingrecommendations for followup actions and ensuring actions areimplemented/ carriedout.
    • Producetechnical reports in accordance with company/clientrequirements.
    • Createengineering change and concession / Production Permit requests asrequired. Manage the document and issue to conclusion asrequired.
    • Supportinternal customers Sales Projects Production Purchasing OperationsShop Floor Quality etc asrequired.
    • Provideengineering expertise for the company in the analysis and signingof concessions and engineeringchanges.
    • ProduceMethod statements and Test procedures asrequired.

    Support EngineerExperience

    • Experienced engineer with (as aminimum) an HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in a mechanicallybiased engineeringdiscipline.
    • Aminimum of 6 years professional engineering experience with a goodbalance of general engineering testing problem solving technicalprocess writing (method statements overhaul instructions) conditionassessments technical investigations and taskmanagement.
    • Knowledgeof various industries ranging from Mobility (Rail and Marine) PowerOil and Gas aviation etcsectors.
    • Knowledgeof mechanical driveline and connecting products and systems(gearboxes cardan shafts highly flexible couplings rail couplerscooler groups etc) is advantageous but notessential.
    • Knowledge of BS8888 technical product documentation andspecification.

    SupportEngineerSkills

    MUST have aHANDSON flexible positive adaptable and proactiveapproach.

    Fluent technicaland conversationalEnglish.

    Commercialawareness understanding the impact of engineering actions anddecisions on current contracts and futurebusiness.

    Understanding ofOverhaul Productionprocesses.

    Knowledge of theISO 9001:2015 qualitysystem.

    Excellentcommunication skills on a technical level

    Good analyticalskills including the ability to work from engineering firstprinciples.

    Genuineenthusiasm for MechanicalEngineering.

    ITliterate.
