    Description

    A highly exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager/Technical Sales Manager is now available with a reputable provider of motors, speed drives, control gear, and switchgear products. They are seeking a skilled sales professional with expertise in control gear and switchgear products to join their expanding team.     LOCATION: The ideal candidate will reside in the West Midlands and cover the West Midlands region. The role allows a blend of remote work and office presence, balancing customer visits effectively.

    SALARY: An attractive package of £40,000 to £45,000 as a basic salary plus a bonus, fully expensed company car or car allowance, 20 days of annual leave, and a company pension plan.

    You will be responsible for selling a diverse range of industrial controls and control panel products to various industries. The product portfolio includes controls & automation, switchgear, enclosures, control gear, soft starters, variable Speed Drives, Inverters, PLCs, and cable management products.

    As the Area Sales Manager/Technical Sales Manager, your key duties will involve account management, new business development within the industrial market, panel/switchgear builders, and manufacturers. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Understanding and analyzing customers' needs and requirements during visits.
    • Providing accurate quotes/estimates and following up with customers to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Proactively pursuing new business and nurturing existing accounts.
    • Negotiating terms with existing and new customers through suppliers/manufacturers.
    • Spotting market opportunities and potential areas for business growth.
    • Participating in face-to-face meetings, exhibitions, and shows to expand the customer base.

    The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of field sales experience and a solid understanding of control gear and switchgear products and their applications.

    Preferably, you will have a background in the electrical wholesaler/distributor sector with exposure to the industrial market, panel/switchgear builders, and OEMs. You should strike a good balance between technical knowledge and sales acumen, demonstrating self-motivation, a determined attitude towards success, positivity, and strong communication capabilities.
