    Enerveo is one of the largest contracting businesses in the UK, offering a broad scope of services including mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation, test and inspection services, as well as street lighting.

    Job Title: Head of Work Winning – Highways Electrical

    Base Location: Field based in UK

    Salary: Circa £75,000 depending on skills and experience, Car Allowance, Bonus. Private Healthcare and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

    Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent

    Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.

    Could you be our next Head of Work Winning to join the team and drive this success forwards?

    What will I be doing in this role?

    The Head of Work Winning for Highways Electrical (HE) will target the strategic opportunities (with individual annual revenue value to HE of >£1m) in order to deliver HE medium and long term growth and profitability. Key to the success of this role will be successful relationships with relevant local authorities and associated partners in the pursuit of additional opportunities.

    On a typical day, you could expect to be;

    • Agree target local authorities with Director of HE.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers and decision makers within key clients.
    • Lead a team of 5 in HE Estimating and also support up to 20 colleagues who spend at part of their time in business development work
    • Lead large strategic bids and estimating process in HE (>£500k revenue)
    • Play overall co-ordinator role, as Opportunity Owner, in these £500k+ opportunities to ensure timely and compliant bids that adhere to the Enerveo governance process and include relevant commercial and other approvals
    • Deliver incremental new profitable revenue. The need is for a highly focused individual who will actively engage with potential new business opportunities and can turn these into revenue streams.

    What do I need to be successful in the role?

    • Experienced in successfully managing local authority/government relationships
    • Familiarity with the highway electrical sector.
    • Must be pro-active in developing potential customer relationships, including starting from scratch and gaining the right levels of access and engagement with targets
    • Skilled at senior level remote and face to face new business pitches, based on partnership
    • Prepared to spend several days a week travelling across the UK, to see customers, as required by the targeting strategy and its progress
    • Team player who can demonstrate previous achievement of results through collaborative working
    • We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence.
