Senior People Manager - London, United Kingdom - LoyaltyLion Ltd

    LoyaltyLion Ltd
    LoyaltyLion Ltd London, United Kingdom

    Default job background
    Description

    About Us

LoyaltyLion is a data-driven loyalty and engagement platform trusted by thousands of ecommerce brands worldwide. Merchants use LoyaltyLion when they want a loyalty program that is proven to increase customer engagement, retention and spend. Stores using LoyaltyLion typically generate at least $15 for every $1 they spend on the platform.

Today, LoyaltyLion works with over 10,000 small and medium sized retailers. Our mission is to help them succeed in the age of Amazon, where they may not be able to compete on price and logistics but can offer a better customer experience. An experience where customers feel valued, rather than just another number.

It's been an incredible few years for LoyaltyLion. We closed funding of $12.5m in 2021 and another $12m in 2022. We've built out our Leadership team, recruiting a Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Product Officer amongst other key senior hires and we continue to set our sights high, achieving spots in both the Deloitte Fast 50 and the FT1000.

Oh, and did we mention our recent successes, such as our G2 reviews , where we are the no.1 in loyalty management in the world or where we've been voted No. 8 in the Best UK Software 2024 list ...

    Role overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior People Manager to lead our people function. This crucial position plays a vital role in retaining and developing top talent while ensuring seamless execution across core people functions. The People function is central to our business so you'll report directly to the COO. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strategic and operational excellence, aligning people initiatives with our broader business objectives. If you're passionate about creating and fostering an exceptional people experience within a growing organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic People Development

Drive a high performance working culture across LoyaltyLion by executing and refining processes that we have in place. These include monitoring and recognising exceptional performance, upskilling management, performance management and providing all employees with clear progression paths with the L&D support they need.

Establish, refine and measure KPIs to track the success of people initiatives and overall organisational health.

Coach and support managers across LoyaltyLion to develop strong people management skills and navigate complex employee relations situations.

Collaborate with senior leadership to continuously refine our people strategy so it remains aligned with our business goals and values.

    Culture

Help the company live two of our values: Team before Ego and Personally Accountable.

Successful demonstration of Team before Ego means you've built a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone contributes to company success; everyone at LoyaltyLion feels comfortable to recognise when they're wrong; and when we disagree we state our reasons and then commit to achieve the goal together

Successful demonstration of Personally Accountable means we achieve more because we trust our colleagues to be there for us and deliver; and we have a culture of transparency and respect that fosters open communication across all levels of LoyaltyLion.

    People Operations

Lead and action the day-to-day operational activities across the people function, including compensation and benefits, People administration, employee relations, and compliance.

Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.

Oversee HR systems (HRIS) and processes, identifying areas for improvement and automation.

Being comfortable with planning and running employee events.

Support with office and facilities management.

    Talent Attraction & Retention

Partner with the Senior Talent Partner to develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring a positive candidate and employee experience.

Oversee employer branding efforts to enhance our reputation as a preferred employer.

Continuously improve the employee lifecycle, from onboarding experiences to offboarding processes.

    What we're looking for:

You've worked in a startup before and know it's what you want. You thrive in this type of dynamic environment where adaptability and delivery triumph over perfectionism.

You have a passion for your craft and want to positively impact the success of the company through its people.

You're naturally creative and will bring your thoughts and ideas to help the company achieve a high performance culture with everyone living our values.

5+ years of progressive experience in a people operations or HR generalist role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity, partnering with managers.

Experience in working in a founder-led start-up environment, as well as working with Technology and GTM (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing) functions.

Proven track record in designing and executing people-focused strategies and programs.

Deep understanding of employment law and People best practices.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven approach to decision-making.

Proficient in HRIS systems such as HiBob, CultureAmp and Lever.
